The NIHR has published its 2025/26 Annual Report, marking the organisation’s 20th anniversary. The report highlights how NIHR has funded and delivered impactful research targeted at areas with the greatest benefit for health and wellbeing, engaged communities nationwide to identify pressing health and social care priorities, and continued to develop its research workforce and partnerships to maximise impact.
The report also showcases NIHR’s wider economic contribution, including attracting significant UK and international investment through the life sciences and innovation sector while improving the efficiency and affordability of health and care services, alongside reflections on 20 years of the organisation’s progress and achievements.
